CREATIVE PROMPT
Azeglio Manzella is chemically wired to bring every ounce of his being to his work, for better and for worse.
Growing up with a visually impaired father, he witnessed firsthand the challenges and limitations faced by those suffering from such a condition, igniting in him a deep, burning passion to devote his life’s work towards scientific research.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
You can submit any piece of written content that conveys your vision for the character, including but not limited to:
- Fully formed short script
- Outline or treatment
- Bullet points
- Short hand prose
Feel free to also add any relevant portfolio content, if applicable.
This Co/Create is catered to writers of all levels and is designed to take less than an hour of your time to complete a submission.
We are looking for submissions that are original and creative, show a clear vision for the character, and align with the existing world of THE DISCO BALL world and lore.
FINAL DELIVERABLES
The winning submission will be translated into a short script by the writer, and be:
- English language
- 3-5 pages
- First-person narration written in the voice of Azeglio Manzella
HOW IT WORKS
Interested writers should submit their Azeglio backstory concept in the written format of their choosing.
Our creative team will evaluate all submissions based on the factors outlined in the submission guidelines, selecting the winning writer and a short list of runner ups who will receive Profit Points for their work.
The winning writer will work with the creative team to revise their submission and turn it into a fully fleshed out short script detailing Azeglio’s backstory.
Once finalized, the script will be used as a prompt for additional Co/Create opportunities that will build off of the backstory concept in the realms of illustrating, acting, music and more, depending on the creative demands of the script.
Once the necessary additional Co/Creates have been completed, the fully-fledged short visual story will be integrated into the core narrative of THE DISCO BALL as a Story Branch (just like the Marcus Rhoder backstory).
Writer will be appropriately credited and recognized for their contributions.
